Worth the Wait - Chapter Six

Hi everyone,

Another quick posting as I don't have much to say (again).
In this week's chapter of Worth the Wait things are really going downhill fast for our love-struck couple - Percy's cowardice is coming back to bite him!

Thank you for reading. Comments and reviews are always welcomed.

Have a good week and I'll see you next weekend.

Worth the Wait - Chapter Five

Evening all,

Just a quick posting before I head off to bed. I've nothing much to say this week, especially Potter-related.

In this week's chapter of Worth the Wait. Fred and George have taken it upon themselves to help the lovestruck couple - lucky them!

As always, reviews and comments are gratefully accepted.

Have a good week and I'll see you next weekend.

Worth the Wait - Chapter Four

Hey everyone,
So I've finally read the Cursed Child and have all the feels at the moment. You that bit where . . . of course I would never spoil you, but I would recommend reading it if you haven't. It made me laugh, it almost made me cry (okay, there may have been a slight welling in the tear ducts at a certain point).

I can't wait to see the play itself, not only to see how they manage to stage it, but also to see what changes they've made to the final version of the play compared to the rehearsal script.

It seems that everything is coming up Potter at the moment as the British Library have announced that they will be hosting a major exhibition next year to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (where has the time gone?). Bloomsbury will be releasing a new edition of the book, in House Colours - another one for my bookshelf!

Meanwhile, I've bought my ticket to the midnight showing of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and I'm eagerly awaiting the October launch of the Illustrated version of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. I expect it will be every bit as good as the first one.

So onto this week's chapter of Worth the Wait. Hermione is trying to avoid the twins and their sly digs, but it's not going very well . . .

I hope everyone is enjoying the story. Reviews and comments are always gratefully accepted.

I am writing, although I've discovered I have a myriad number of ways to derail myself from finishing my stories. I don't know whether it's because I can't bear to say goodbye to them after so long working on them or what, but it is really frustrating and I have to force myself to stop prevaricating and just write.

Have a good week, I'll see you next weekend.

Worth the Wait - Chapter Three

Hi everyone,

I hope you've had a good weekend. I still haven't read the Cursed Child script yet, but can't put it off much longer because the spoilers are out there (including in the HP Wiki). I don't yet have the book from the Piccadilly launch, but hopefully this week I can get it.

It's Christmas Day in the Burrow and everything is full of the peace and love of the season, or is it?

As always reviews and comments regarding this chapter or the story as a whole are always appreciated.

Have a good week, and until next time, enjoy reading.

Worth the Wait - Chapter Two

Firstly, happy birthday (just) to Jo Rowling and Harry Potter and thank you for changing my life for the better.

So last night was the midnight launch of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and as you know I was supposed to be going to a launch party in London.

Unfortunately, due to the Ride London-Surrey cycle race closing off all the streets in a ten mile vicinity of the bookshop we couldn't find anywhere to park that would allow us to get there before midnight or wouldn't cost £40 for a couple of hours parking (we spent over an hour trying every road in the area for parking only to discover it was all suspended because of the race, and none of the tube stations are anywhere near the bookshop - a particular problem for someone with mobility issues).

Instead of celebrating with other fans and getting and reading the new script overnight (I decided to read it as I'm not actually seeing the play until December and don't think there's any way I can stay unspoiled until then) I was in a car with my best friend navigating the traffic jams that the road closures had caused throughout London and getting more and more grumpy about not being at the launch.

This left me feeling depressed and disappointed rather than elated and excited as I had expected to feel and this bad feeling has carried over to today leaving me feeling flat and strangely exhausted.

It was particularly galling because long after we got our tickets for the London event (on Friday afternoon to be precise) our local bookshop suddenly announced it was doing a midnight launch (although without any of the fun stuff Piccadilly was doing). We could have gone there quite easily and had some of the feels that attending the London launch would have had, even though it would have meant paying again for the book, but we wanted to do the fun things too, so ended up doing nothing :(

Anyway, enough of my whinging,  time for the next chapter of Hermione and Percy's great love story - what has happened between them since their illicit night of passion? Please note this chapter has lemons.

I really hope you're enjoying the story so far. If you are I would be extremely grateful for a short review or a comment on here to let me know.

Until next week, by which time I may have read the Cursed Child (hopefully). I'm waiting to see if we can still get our copies from Piccadilly despite not attending the launch. We did pay for them, after all.

Have a good week, and enjoy whatever you're reading (hopefully my story is among them).
